San Francisco
The Redwoods are a great hiking ground with pirate and smugglers coves and a 16. century British style pub where you can rest after a day's hike in the rain.
The Nappa valley with its wine tasting trails and the Haight with its anarchist Hippie flair are most memorable. We had to see the Jack Kerouac' lane and "his" bar of course.
